queerly misunderstood is an unraveling of stories and truths that have built the history behind the queer community. Welcome home.
Brittani Frost-Shank (she/her/hers)
Founder, contributing writer
Brittani lives with her wife, foster daughter, and three cats in Manhattan, Kansas. Her days are spent working for a government technology company, CivicPlus, and loves what she does and the people she works with. On the side, she's a freelance photographer and enjoys capturing people's lives in pictures. She enjoys reading and is obsessed with Harry Potter and using stickers as decoration on whatever she can. In her spare time, she can be found at home making a blanket for a friend or watching Law and Order with her little family.
Noah Franz
(he/him/his)
Contributing writer
Noah lives with his boyfriend in a small apartment attached to a storage rental facility in Olathe, Kansas, where he spends his time trying to convince himself that living in a commercial area in a largely straight, white, aging American community is okay. He bags groceries for his covidian wages; pushes pixels as a freelance designer for clients unwise enough to trust him with their time and resources; and gets in long, pendantic arguments on social media concerning topics ranging from billboard kerning to the proper uses of the serial comma to foreign misinformation campaigns to the controversial wholesomeness of the BDSM community.
